As part of the the fourth Sky Bass EP release, I have helped out on bringing the the cover art to life. The visual itself was created by Polymathic (one of the founders of Sky Bass). The motion version came to be as it can be used for promotional material and in addition, it could also be used as Canvas for the Spotify releases.

Polymathic handed me the Photoshop file, which gave me the possibility to divide the composition into pieces and extended them with the clone stamp tool. The intention was to create depth for a three dimensional movement. In After Effects, the layers were put in 3D space and were moved accordingly. Unfortunately, the plane was a 2D layer too, which limited the options for animation. Some slight 3D rotation was added. The position and focus distance were the major animated aspects of this motion picture.
